Ancestral Cosmetics Tallow Sun Balm was created for those sunny moments you refuse to miss out on.

Formulated with grass-fed bovine fat and 20% physical-barrier Zinc Oxide, which reflects and scatters ultraviolet radiation away from the skin. Boosted with antioxidants and beta carotenes from our carefully chosen cold-pressed oil blend to support skin wellness.

This Tallow Sun Balm leaves out the synthetic UV blockers typically found in conventional sunscreens. We make it instead from truly natural ingredients: tallow from pasture-raised cattle, oils extracted without heat, and essential oils at their purest. It feels lovely on the skin and gives genuine protection.

Physical Zinc Oxide (non-nano form) defends against UV by sitting on top of the skin rather than soaking in, where it reflects, scatters and partly absorbs ultraviolet radiation. Our formula has 20% Zinc Oxide.

Irish Beef Tallow from Grass-Fed, Pasture-Finished Cattle – arguably among nature's most effective moisturizers. It strengthens and sustains the skin's natural moisture balance and brings major benefits for skin wellness. It moisturizes and nourishes skin deeply.

Cocoa Butter is a natural butter taken from the cacao beans of the cacao plant. It's among the best natural ingredients for sun protection, rich in Vitamin E – a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from oxidative stress. Its fatty acid profile makes it remarkably nourishing and helps stop moisture loss.

Olive Oil has been used in sun care for thousands of years. It's packed with antioxidants, including Vitamin E and polyphenols, which support skin hydration and defence.

Red Raspberry Seed Oil is known for naturally absorbing UVA and UVC rays, which makes it a great ingredient for suncare formulas. It contains generous levels of Vitamin E and Vitamin A, along with a high beta-carotene content. It protects the skin from oxidative damage and helps stop it from occurring.

Sweet Almond Oil is a richly nourishing oil full of vitamins K and E plus antioxidants, which keeps your skin hydrated and shielded while you spend time outdoors in sunlight.

Vitamin E – our Tallow Sun Balm receives extra enrichment with this strong antioxidant to deliver comprehensive defence throughout your time in the sun. This potent antioxidant can prevent or undo the destruction that free radicals inflict on skin cells. The skin naturally reserves Vitamin E across both the outer epidermis and inner dermis layers, so topical application boosts defence and lessens irritation.

If one warehouse is out of stock of a specific product we may ship your order from another warehouse. We'll cover all customs or import fees in this case but please allow some extra time for delivery.
